The multi-node FSEL Compute Environment provides a high-speed computing platform with high-performance storage capabilities, allowing simultaneous deployment of multiple analytical simulations and increased analytical productivity by way of reduced computation times. Each node comprising the FAT facility contains a Dell PowerEdge R820 server, 256 GB RAM, 32 cores (@ 2.4 GHz, 614.4 gigaflops). FSEL employs technical staff to maintain and provide ongoing service to the FAT node compute environment.
In addition to these resources, FSEL can access the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). TACC designs and operates some of the world's most powerful computing resources.
